Vian Sora has seen a lot. Yet her art still holds on to that nugget of hope that can be found even in the most desperate of times.
Too often the tortured artist is someone whose life has seen little adversity, the black-clad, skinny, suburban lad who is all ‘woe-be-me, my art is about destruction and darkness’, but then goes home to have dinner cooked by Mum and play video games.
Such artists haven’t see half as much as Vian Sora has, and yet her art is energized with a light and hope that is sadly becoming less and less common in the world.
