When observing my paintings, at first, one will notice the influence of ancient Mesopotamian and Arabian imagery. While presented in an impressionist contemporary style, my works reflect a journey. It is a visual voyage of impressions from many years of traveling, coupled with passion for learning particularly the archaeology and architecture of Mesopotamia and the region in general.

My works attempt to present to other cultures, far away from the East, a means to interact and communicate between distant civilizations. The work is spontaneous and sometimes mythical in content as I try to capture the essence of the moment when I see something for the first time. The colors of Baghdad, arches, mystical figures and ancient ruins, are noticeable influences within my paintings, which are portrayed through my deep respect for the civilizations of the past with the hope to develop a discourse to the present.
